We did this with our lesson on love out of 1st Corinthians 13. The popsicle sticks were spraypainted gold ahead of time. The ribbons were precut. We cut a piece of straw the width of the ribbon. We thread a thin piece of gold ribbon through this straw. Then we folded the top part of the ribbon up and over the straw and glued it down to secure our hanging loops. We used a label maker to label the popsicle sticks. All of this was done ahead of time. The childrens job was to glue the popsicle sticks to the ribbon. They also glued buttons, flowers, beads, doodads, sequins on the sticks and the ribbon.
